Congratulations on your decision to attend the University of California, Berkeley!  We invite you to begin your Berkeley experience by participating in the ASC orientation for freshmen student athletes on the Berkeley campus.

The one day freshmen orientation is packed with information sessions and activities. Here's an overview:

  • Review academic requirements, eligibility and academic planning.
  • Introduce you to the advisors and staff from the ASC.
  • Will be an opportunity for you to meet your peers and to ask questions about Cal.
  • Advisors will assist you with course selection and guide you through the web enrollment system.
  • You will be able to take advantage of early enrollment for student athletes and sign-up for courses before the rest of the incoming freshmen class.
This year's orientation will be on:

    Sunday, June 1st, 2008
If you are an incoming Freshman, please do the following (attending or not):
    1. Submit your Orientation Reply Form (with option to pay if attending).
If attending the ASC orientation, please submit this form when ready to pay using a credit card.
    2. Review the general information letter.
    3. Before attending either the Orientation or your first advising appointment, review the advising preparation information.
    4. If needed, here are driving directions and local accommodations.
    5. If you are not attending the ASC Orientation, see if you can attend a CALSO orientation.
