Tutor InformationThe ASC offers academic support services to over 900 students in 27 sports. If you are interested in being a tutor for the ASC, have performed well in your course work (GPA of 3.0 and above), have excellent communication skills, are interested in a career in education, or simply want to earn a little extra money, please fill out a tutor application. Qualified applicants will be invited to interview for a position.Each semester we have over 50 writing, science, mathematics, social sciences and statistics tutors in our tutorial program. Our tutors, who are both undergraduate and graduate students, have a commitment to education, are proficient in their respective subject areas and are trained in collaborative approaches to learning. To accommodate student athlete academic and practice schedules, tutors work between the hours of 6-10pm, Sunday through Thursday evenings.
PayPay rates vary according to your academic status and function. The hourly pay rates are:
Education 197Students interested in receiving academic credit for their tutoring, especially to fulfill the field study requirement for the minor in education, can enroll in education 197.
