Academic Standards
To meet the minimum requirements to compete in Division I athletics, student athletes enrolling in college in August 2016 or later must:
- Graduate from high school.
- Complete 16 Core Courses, including 10 before your seventh semester:
- Four years of English;
- Three years of math (Algebra 1 or higher);
- Two years of natural/physical science (including one year of lab);
- One additional year of English, math or natural/physical science;
- Two years of social science;
- Four additional years of English, math, natural/physical science, social science, foreign language, comparative religion or philosophy.
- Earn a minimum 2.300 Grade-Point Average in core courses.
- Earn a combined SAT or ACT score that matches your core-course GPA on the Division 1 sliding scale.

To meet initial-eligibility standards, prospective student athletes must register with the NCAA Eligibility Center.
