Academic Standards
To meet the minimum requirements to compete in Division I athletics, student athletes enrolling in college in August 2016 or later must:
Graduate from high school
Complete 16 Core Courses, including 10 before your seventh semester:
- Four years of English
- Three years of math (Algebra 1 or higher)
- Two years of natural/physical science (including one year of lab)
- One additional year of English, math or natural/physical science
- Two years of social science
- Four additional years of English, math, natural/physical science, social science, foreign language, comparative religion or philosophy
Earn a minimum 2.300 Grade-Point Average in core courses
Earn a combined SAT or ACT score that matches your core-course GPA on the Division 1 sliding scale.
NCAA Eligibility Center
To meet initial-eligibility standards, prospective student athletes must register with the NCAA Eligibility Center.
