Learning Specialist
Provides comprehensive academic support, such as time management, effective study skills, developmental writing, strategic reading, and assessment preparation. They also manage a caseload of Graduate Tutors, which also provide similar academic support to their own caseload of students, and possibly additional support for the Learning Specialists' cohort.
Background
Megan earned her Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing: Nonfiction from Saint Mary’s College of California (2022). After graduating, she instructed college writing and elective courses as an adjunct professor for several years. During her undergraduate studies at UC Berkeley, she majored in English Literature and minored in Creative Writing. A Bay Area native, Megan spent a decade teaching and later managing the swim lessons program at her local city pool. These days, her biggest passions are rock climbing, backpacking, writing, and sharing the joy of education and personal discovery with student-athletes as a proud Cal alum.
